Alexey Kozlov is an ac complished business professional, investor, and graduate of James Madison University. Initially working in investment banking between 1998 and 2005, Alexey later applied his experience and business acumen to real estate. He founded and served as head of a major development company with a project portfolio exceeding 100,000 m2 in Moscow. In 2008 he was arrested due to a conflict with his business partner who exercised political influence.
In 2012 Alexey was included in the famous Magnitsky List by the US Co ngress, as an example of an unjustly convicted individual in Russia.
Since relocating to Berlin in 2017 he has established multiple successful companies and undertaken various real estate development projects. These include the “Am Rohrpful” and the “Am Eichenpfuhl” residential quarters. Alexey is the founder and board member of the non – profit organization Für unsere und Ihre Rechte e.V., which supports persecuted individuals, as well as promoting gender equality, educational, artistic, and cultural initi atives.
In 2022, the German tax office recognized this foundation as a charity.
Markus Barow is an experienced professional in the construction industry. Focussing on construction projects, he has provided consultancy services since 2007. As part of his w ork, he collaborates with district and senate administrations, engages in civic participation, and navigates political landscapes.
Markus has overseen the successful completion of 10 projects in Berlin and Brandenburg since 2007.
Furthermore, Markus has demonstrated his commitment to public service through various voluntary and political roles, including being a research assistant, committee chair, and spokesperson, with a strong emphasis on urban development, social integration, a nd equal opportunities in the Berlin Mitte district.
Maxim Gasiev joined the team in 2022 as a partner.
Maxim has over 20 years of experience in real estate in different areas such as investment, full cycle development, consulting and property management. Among the most prominent roles are Managing Director of Colliers International Russia and President of the large Moscow developer PSN Group.
In the last position Maxim together with the team have developed a number of diverse projects from high-end residential complexes in historical surrounding to development of several large city gentrification projects on sites from 10Ha to 40Ha. The company had in total over 2 mln sqm under development on different stages of which over 500 000 were built under Maxim’s leadership. The projects were awarded at different times with international professional awards.
In the past few years Maxim has also acted as an investor in several development projects in the North American markets. In 2015-2016 Maxim studied real estate development in Harvard University Graduated School of Design. Since March 2022, Maxim has been living in Berlin with his family.
Reinhart Rath is a lawyer and notary with expertise in tax law.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rath established his own law firm, worked as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin, and served as a professor of International Business Law at the University of Vilnius in Lithuania
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rath holds several honorary positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors at Architecture Daniel Libeskin d, President of the Lions Club Berlin – Intercontinental, and a board member of the German Friends of the Israeli Opera.
Polina Altshuler is our Head of Back Office She has a strong track record of developing the company’s vision, mission, and long – term bu siness plans.
Polina joined Silberpappel in 2021 and is currently responsible for the handling of organisational matters, overseeing budgets and expenses, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality requirements. She also manages legal processes, contra ct negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
Between 2015 and 2019, Polina managed a youth centre in the Jewish community in Berlin, and since 2020 has worked as an executive producer of special projects with the OstWest television channel. She is our spec ialist in creative solutions for complex issues.
Vladimir Boldinov is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Deputy Managing Director for legal support of real estate investments at SP Investments GmbH.
With a background in law, he has worked as deputy head and head of the legal department at prominent Moscow development companies.
He joined the team at the beginning of 2023.
